“I love you.”
“I love ye too, English, now let us go home. Dublin awaits and we have a wedding to plan.”
Chapter 37
Lily’s POV
“Adrian, I know you put a lot of effort into planning this new tour, but I need to drop out of the schedule for a while please,” I requested, putting my arms around his waist as he looked over the paperwork.
He looked back at me strangely, pulling me closer. “What’s wrong Lil? Is it getting too much for youse? I could hold it back for a few months. Whatever ye need, I just really want you with me. Please baby? Don’t throw me away like this, not now. Not with the wedding coming up.”
“A few months is not going to help, if anything it would make things harder.”
Adrian kissed her hair, “My darling, anything ye want is yours. Just tell me what ye need.”
He really wasn’t getting it, poor airhead of a man. I crossed my hands over my stomach gently looking back at him. “About nine months would be ‘grand’.”
Adrian’s eyes followed the motion confused. The cogs slowly turned over in his mind, then his jaw dropped. “A baby?”
I nodded.
“A baby? You are having a baby?”
Smiling, I nodded again.
“A dad, I am going to be a father?”
Another nod.
He dropped to his knees, kissing her stomach. “Oh, little man. My little man. My new band member of the future. I am going to be a dad!” He kissed his fiancée as he stood back up. “A dad.” He said in shock yet again.
I tried to ask if that was okay, if he was okay with this, but he was gone. Running into the green room where the band were warming up. I followed behind worried that maybe this was one step too far.
“Guys! I am gonna be a fucking father! Youngest rocker in the group is in the oven!” he screamed.
There was a cheer and hugs, so many hugs that I was drawn into. Somehow, we got thrust back into each other’s arms as our friends toasted them. That look of pure joy, untamed happiness on Adrian’s face, I knew, in that instant, that everything was going to be okay.
And more importantly, that I was.

I have been writing since I was a teenager, fan fictions, short stories, original work. 2015/2018 I worked for several different blogs reviewing movies and books.
Save Me is my first published novel, based loosely on my own personal life growing up, and that of gay/bisexual friends I have known. There will be a sequel called Too Many Tears, where we will see the continuation of Jack and Nic's story. Can't Let You Go characters will also be meeting the team and blending together for the final two books in the series.
