She should have ran. She should be running and yet she’s laying here next to me on a Sunday night, with nothing on and her just fucked hair. I placed the duvet over us and ran my fingers over her face. Her eyes became heavy and my chest thudded. I’d wait until she was asleep and then I’d leave. Her breathing mellowed after some time, her thigh still over mine and her hand still resting on my face. I kissed it softly and moved from her grip.

“I’m sorry Avaya.” I watched her sleep for a few moments before I left. What the fuck had I just done.

Holt - Monday

My body ached. I was hungry and not just for food. He left. Just like he said he would. I shook my head and looked down at the clothes left on the floor. His t-shirt was still where I’d prized it from his body the night before. I bit my lip and placed it over my head. It fell just past my arse. I tied my hair up in a bun and decided I should go and find food. I walked past several doors and made my way to the staircase. I could hear screaming coming from one of the rooms. It was Missy. I halted for a moment to listen. What was she screaming at?

"You said her name again this morning!" She screeched.

"I was asleep! You shouldn’t have even been in here!" He boomed. It sent shivers through me. He’d been nothing but sweet last night.

"That's worse! She waltzes in our house after shit holing around Jay for weeks and now you're dreaming of the girl!" Oh god, this is 100% about me.

"She didn't shit hole around Jay, I'm pretty sure he went chasing her." I bit my lip awkwardly and remembered our conversation from the night before.

"Chloe's obsessed with her as well. You've all got a boner over her!" He began to laugh. It was exasperating. I loved the sound of him laughing. I smiled with him and heard her growl.

“Fuck you Haz! I'm done." I heard the ensuite door slam and quickly made my way further down the stairs. The sound of the bedroom door shutting made me stop and I glanced up.

"Good morning Avaya." His eyes traced my body. His eyes burned through me and my breathing stopped. I shook my head and bit my lip.

"Good morning." I watched as he smirked and joined me on our descent down the stairs. I desperately wanted to reach for him but stopped. .

"You’re wearing my top Avaya?" He smirked as he examined me and I blushed.

“I didn’t have anything else.” I muttered in his direction.

“How are you going to explain it?” I watched as his eyes glistened and I smirked.

“Hopefully nobody will notice?” He sighed and shook his head before pausing on the stairs. I looked up at his lips and reached for them. He closed his eyes and caught my hand in his.

“Av, we can’t.” I felt my frown deepen and I nodded.

“I’m sorry.” I muttered. My chest was thudding. I knew he said once but fuck he was killing me.

“Do you have uni today?” I shook my head.

“No, not on Monday’s.” He released my hand when another door opened up the stairs and I glanced at the limited space between us. I continued to walk down the stairs and hit the kitchen. Alfie was standing in sweats and a loose white t-shirt. He smiled at me and then frowned as he looked down at my clothing. A look of confusion flashed in his eyes.

“Are you hungry?” He questioned and I couldn’t help but giggle. I was starving. I watched as Jay and Haz both joined us and looked back towards Alfie.

“Yes.” I answered him and he nodded. Jay wolf whistled and I rolled my eyes before I pulled slightly on the t-shirt to make sure it was covering my ass. “Please stop.” I felt my chest tighten. My legs ached from the night before. I ached in places I didn’t know possible. I couldn’t look at him. I’d give us away. The smell of pancakes filled the room. My stomach growled.

“Did you sleep well?” Jay questioned me as he took his seat at the island. I cleared my throat and nodded.

“Yes thank you.” I smiled weakly at him and he glanced at Haz who was still standing in the doorway. I could feel myself blushing.

“Are you coming to the gym this morning?” He was now questioning Haz and I watched as he nodded.

“Yeah there’s that boxing class we have to teach isn’t there?” He sat next to Jay on the island and I couldn’t help but look at him. His hair was the way I’d left it the night before. Messy. I looked towards the door where Chlo stood. She was smiling and was wearing her glasses.

“What’s for breakfast Alf?” She smirked at him and I watched Jay frown. I chuckled and cleared my throat.

“Pancakes.” I answered for him and watched as she sat with Haz and her brother. She examined my t-shirt and glanced at Haz. I watched her mouth twist and she pushed her bob behind her ear.

“So have you got much planned for the day Av?” She smiled at me. She was smiling but I doubt she wanted to be. From the look she was giving Haz it was almost as if she'd sussed us out. I shook my head.

“Not really, Nance and Soph usually come around mine on a Monday and we cook tea for my mum. She doesn’t get off until late.” My feet wouldn’t move from the spot I was standing in. I was still holding down the shirt so that it didn’t rise up. She gave me a comforting smile.

“That sounds so nice.” I nodded.

“It is. Monday’s are my favourite.” I admitted and I watched as Alfie presented a huge plate full of pancakes on the island with an array of sauces and fruit. I licked my lips and took one.
