we claim an ol’ lady. Now move,” Chains says. I knew he’d been right behind me when I was headed toward the table to claim Nora, but I hadn’t thought he’d stayed there.

Without another word, Dee glares at Nora before storming off into the clubhouse.

Gripping my woman’s waist, I turn her to face me and grin. “Gotta say, Spitfire, that was fuckin’ hot.”

“Yeah, well, you let another woman press herself up against you like that again, you’ll regret it,” she grumbles.

“Don’t worry, ma tendre, I think they got your point. But gotta ask, winnebagos?” I chuckle as several others burst into laughter.

“Well, what else would you call those fake as fuck tits? I mean seriously they were sticking out like the cones Madonna wore in one of her eighties music videos. Gross.” That’s my woman for you. Let her be the one to come up with some stupid shit like that and be completely right about the meaning.

Chapter Eight

Nora

That stupid bitch with her fake as fuck tits, thought she could try to pull some shit on me. She was in for a rude awakening that’s for sure. I’ve already seen my fair share of clubwhores trying to cause drama.

Shit, the bitches who tried to interfere with my best friend, Emerson, and Hades were ones for the record books. Letting Emerson walk into Hades room at the clubhouse and them being in his bed naked fuckin’ each other.

Oh, and the bitch who set Kenny up, that was another one for the books. She’d been a vindictive bitch who in the end got her throat slit.

These women need to learn some self-respect and know they’re not going to become an ol’ lady by fuckin’ their way through the club. What man would want a woman desperate enough to fuck anyone with a dick swinging between their legs.

According to Emerson and all of the other women, I’m friends with who are married or with a member of the Devil’s Riot MC, when it comes to these types of women you have to put your foot down the first time and not let them walk all over you. You allow that, those bitches will chew you up and spit you out.

“I hate that woman,” Tiny mutters quietly as the two of us sit down at a picnic table with our food while the guys finish filling their plates. “But I gotta say, I think what you said was hilarious. More so than when I told her she was loose enough to take a bull’s dong when she’d tried to pull the same type of shit when I first got here.”

“Hold up, you said that to her? Oh my god, that is a good one. I’m going to have to text that to Emerson,” I giggle.

“Yep, these women give all women a bad name. I know when I first went to the Devil’s Riot that is what I was classified as, and I know I’d done a couple things I’m not proud of. But when I had said this to Stoney and Tracker they understood and changed everything up for me. However, there is a difference between someone who goes and is willing to do anything for protection and someone who wants to sink their claws into a man just because they can. Or because of their position,” Tiny murmurs without looking at me. Her focus is straight ahead of her.

Straightening my head, I find myself locking eyes with Breaker, a smile on his face that makes my stomach feel all melty.

Today has just been the best day of my life thus far and it’s all thanks to Breaker. Well, I should say Orin.

Never in my wildest dreams, did I think I’d ever marry a man within a week of first meeting him, let alone the day we finally say more than two words. Hell, maybe it was the lust speaking because of how good the sex was and I’d never had any before today. However, I highly doubt sex with anyone else would be as amazing.

This morning at the wedding chapel he’d looked at me as if I were the only woman in the world who was ever made to be for him. In fact, he hadn’t even allowed the wedding officiant to use traditional vows when it was his turn to speak. Nope, instead Breaker had come up with his own and I don’t think I’ll ever forget them. For the rest of my life they will forever be in my mind playing on repeat.

“Nora, I know you probably think this is the craziest thing you’ve ever done. But I promise you from this day forward I’ll keep you safe, love you like you were meant to always be adored, never let anyone hurt you. Ma tendre, the moment you stepped out of the truck rocked my fuckin’ world and I knew right then why you came to the club. You came because fate put you in the path to come to me. From this day forward, mon amour, you won’t ever have to fear being hurt ever again. I’ll see to that. Even if it means my last breath doing it.”

Tears had welled in my eyes as he’d said this and although I hadn’t said it out loud, I vowed right then and there to love this man ‘til my last breath.

I’m sure some people would think I’m crazy for marrying Breaker when we barely know each other. Then again, people have done the same throughout the ages, marry someone on the whim barely knowing each other.

The only thing I dread right now is not only telling Levi, Flynn, and Dash, but my mom as well. It will not be pretty when she finds out she was gypped on not getting to help her daughter plan a wedding. As much as she loves me and let me be who I am, doesn’t mean she wasn’t disappointed I wasn’t the girly girl she wanted.

Closest I’ve ever gotten to be
