“Master Grannith. I’m finished in here. Can I sell some of these to you before taking the rest to the Jeweler?”
“Of course. That’s always a good business idea. The overall price is going to drop as you sell them, but it drops slower if you spread it among different vendors.”
Atlas only nodded as the menu popped up. A devilish grin split his face when he saw the price of the first ring. It listed for 3 silver. Three times the amount of a normal ring for less than a minute of work on his part. He sold half of each ring he had on him to Grannith. Out of the 246 total rings he got rid of, he made 5 gold 41 silver and 20 copper. The price dropped as he sold them, but his average sell price by the time he finished was around 2 silver and 20 copper each.
The rest of the rings he dumped into his backpack and stuffed into the pouches on his belt. With an abundance of money and bags full of more rings, he strutted over to the jewelcrafting shop.
Without bothering to talk to the master, he asked to see his inventory, and the menu popped up. He sold the rest of his 246 rings. This time he averaged only 1 silver and 60 copper but that still brought him 3 gold 93 silver and 60 copper.
His last act, after giggling at the astounded face of the jewelcrafting master, was to train his new skills.

Four silver was enough to train all the skills. They were identical to the original patterns, but they had slightly more durability and added 1 Defense to the pieces. I guess every minor point of defense reduces damage taken.
The ability worked the same, but it also required a Spool of Copper Wire per pattern. The jewelcrafting master had some for sale and each spool cost 30 copper. Out of materials to use, he closed the menu and thanked the master.
It’s time to get back to questing.
Chapter 17
An Animalistic Quest
Time slowly blended together. He stayed active and continued questing, but you could only run so many of the same style of quests before boredom sank in. His first action was to run to the local branch of the bank and deposit 9 more gold. He was supremely uncomfortable carrying around over 10 gold. If he died, it would all be for nothing. He spent the rest of his time doing nothing but questing and gathering any materials he found while out.
When he returned to the city, he got a room in an inn on the road to the woodworking shop and dumped a lot of his materials there. He figured out his items stayed safe in the room if he locked it when he left in the same way that his body stayed safe. With that discovery, he didn’t feel as hard pressed to craft every time he returned to reduce the load on his bags.
Piles of wood lay stacked in the corner while a random bushel of herbs were in another. He was immensely thankful that the hides didn’t smell. A large bundle of them sat on one side of the room. He put in a lot of work and made excellent progress on quests.

With a room full of random items and a comfortable stopping point, Atlas logged out of the game and wandered back to the real world.

Two days later found him back in game. The entire time he was at work, all he could do was picture what he needed to accomplish when he logged back in. His room demonstrated the extensive amount of crafting he needed to do. The collection of materials greeted him upon his return to the game.
His leveling grind continued shortly after he returned. He had to restrain himself from spending a ton of time crafting. Instead, he focused solely on grinding through more quests. Naturally, he couldn’t stop himself from gathering more wood, hides, and some herbs, but he didn’t spend more time than necessary looking for them. It took him an entire day of game time, but he reached a significant turning point for his progress. Level 15. The increased experience from quests as he leveled helped him move forward quicker.
