“We should inspect the camp now,” said Alex.
Anna raised her hand. “I don’t understand how everything works here.”
“Yes, that’s right,” Talker agreed. “We Homo-42s don’t understand either.”
Alex sighed. “We’re short on time. We’ll figure it out along the way. To the camp!”
On the count of three, the clan members used the portal at the same time to test its quality. There were no delays in the transfer.
The camp seemed less impressive after the huge training ground. However, there were magnificent single apartments, a dining room, a gym, and a giant pool.
“What’s that?” someone asked, pointing to the room next to the pool. They crowded closer, wondering if it was a toilet, a shower, a changing room, or a gym. The room had such stats that they immediately wanted to try it.

Attention!
Zone of Intense Water
Entrance is strictly prohibited for those who cannot swim

The crew entered the area without delay. Their clothes transformed into bathing suits. This skill worked on the subconscious.
They found themselves in a small interlocking chamber and stared enthusiastically, like children, at the large number of devices designed for them…
Chapter 23. Mother’s Diaper
The Zone of Intense Water would overwhelm anyone, even the most prepared.
Alex hoped to see a pool that mimicked a raging sea or a turbulent river. However, he was instead confronted by a large room, completely covered in snow-white tiles. The clan members watched as the smooth ripples of water slowly slid from one wall to another.
“You ready? It looks like fun.” Alex laughed.
His clanmates nodded in response.
The situation in the Zone changed again, and the laughter tapered off. A tornado raged, powerful whirlpools collided and thundering, making the crew shudder.
“Companions,” Alex said, “Test the capabilities of your uniforms. We change it intuitively, and I think we underestimate it. You can customize your clothes to suit your needs. I’ve even seen some of you keep your lacy underwear on while sleeping.”
Talker bellowed in laughter. “Commander, whose lace underwear are you talking about? I could have sworn I left my door closed…”
A cheerful mood fell over Alex’s people. He paid the joke no mind, instead of thinking about creating a universal combat kit.
He was fascinatedly studying the rises and swells of the water when it dawned on him. What are we doing? What am I doing? Valor, fearlessness, courage… Hell! We’re here to fix the flaws in our development. Alex slapped the glass wall with his fist.
An actual typhoon raged behind the wall, a terrifying maelstrom of howling wind, lashing water, spray, and impenetrable fog. “Terrifying beauty and incredible strength. The zone warns us that it will be dangerous to go there without special training.”
The crew fell silent. They seemed reluctant to give up the water test.
Alex smiled tightly, his thoughts returning to urgent tasks. He had no doubt the Igloo would help them. However, he worried that he couldn’t see his stats. The hope for the Igloo didn’t materialize.
“What if? Let there be a rework, a re-work,” Alex uttered. “I will fix Druid here and hopefully get my stats back.”
Alex glanced at his people, still eager to rush into single combat with the water element and even die, but not retreat.
Their eyes burned, their faces were focused. Predatory smiles lit their faces. They showed no fear, no doubt. Fleetingly, he thought, Wait, Admins. Wait, ghouls. In a year or two, we will thoroughly shake up your vicious world.
“I have an idea.” Alex faced his clan members. “We need to improve our Strength ability. We should be more prepared to enter the Zone. An hour should be enough for me.”
No one objected.
First, I’ll ask our druids. “Daga sa Daga, Kate, Anna, look in your spells or abilities, as the skill associated with energy clothing is called.”
“Energy vestments,” the ladies, both clad in tight-fitting bathing suits, responded in unison.
Anna brought the information to the public.

“I don’t have that. I have an energy vestment, and that’s all,” Daga sa Daga said.
“It was the same for me before I displayed the stats,” Anna added.
“Put the stats on public display, as Anna did,” Alex suggested.
“Got it,” Daga sa Daga said. “Done, leader.”
Her data turned out to be identical to Anna’s.
“Talker, Rhombus, Rosk, look at the energy garment,” Alex said.
Talker spoke first, his voice hoarse as if he had been nursing a sore throat for several days. “Commander, my stats say I still have a ‘laconic energetic vestment’, but I’ll show you how it really is.”

The crew were silent for several minutes, but Alex didn’t perceive this quietness as inappropriate or negative. On the contrary. Everyone seemed to comprehend that all of Alex’s talk of the higher powers of the Earth were not fiction. The confirmation of this fact lay right before their eyes.
Talker coughed. “Alex and associates! Speaking for all Homo-42s, you can’t imagine how grateful we are for being under Earth’s protection! We have hope and faith for a good future.”
“Thank you. That is very touching,” Alex declared, approaching the Homo-42s. After rewarding each with an encouraging pat on their shoulders, he said, “Remember, and tell others – no patronage, no protection. Those who fight with us become our friends. Freedom, equality and fraternity. That is what we will carry to the worlds of the Commonwealth.
“Does anyone
