Alex slowed his heartbeat, engaged in meditation, and switched to magical vision.
Concentrating, Alex transferred spells to his faithful companions. He had a vision wherein he shook hands with them, taking an oath of allegiance while illuminating them with white blinding light. In a trance, Alex stood from the table and, like a somnambulist, walked over to Talker.
From the outside, the clan leader looked epic. He seemed to have fallen asleep with his eyes open, paying no mind to the dessert brought by the ice waiters.
The amazing metamorphosis continued, and he turned gray as if petrified. Moments later, Alex lit up like a beacon, forcing everyone to squint and turn away. Next, just as in the vision, the clan leader rose, paused for a couple of seconds, then walked calmly to the Homo-42s’ table.
Talker, already accustomed to earthly habits, jumped up and reflexively responded with a firm handshake of Alex’s outstretched hand. Light began to flow down to Talker’s arm, illuminating and filling him.
“Damn strobe,” Shizdets said with round, watery eyes.
“Congratulations,” Alex said, shaking Talker’s limp hand. “Bro, why is your hair standing on end?”
“I’ll t-t-tell you l-l-later,” Talker stammered.
The crew were slowly settling away from Alex, realizing that they could be the next to fall under this dazzling experiment.

Alex felt himself drawn into a tight hug as if he had been dragged into the compactor.
Breaking free from the friendly embrace and, just in case, stepping back a couple of steps, he continued, “Explaining the stats.” Alex pointed to the sign. “Daga Dagger and the Bow of Elements turned out perfectly. I created this dagger, which inspired by our Daga. I advise you to have an image and add emotions while creating a spell or an artifact. This will make success far more likely. By the way, Daga Dagger is actually a pair of daggers. They are identical, but I would prefer that their characteristics be different for the left and right hands…”
Daga sa Daga sidled up to Alex with balletic grace, and slid her narrow palm in his.
“I’ll never forget such a wondrous gift,” she whispered in his ear.
Oh, Gods, what am I thinking about? flashed through Alex’s head, and he activated a skill transfer. The woman’s eyes flashed like spotlights.
“Try it,” Alex told her.
She performed several practiced movements with these dangerous daggers, so quickly that the air whistled past their sharp edges. Daga sa Daga whirled around, halting like a fading tornado. She jumped into Alex’s arms, giving him kisses.
What’s going on? I feel like a vicious incubus.
Alex broke from the sweet bond. “Rhombus, you are next. To be honest, I’m at a loss…”
Laughing, he continued to transfer the ability to his team. Two hours later, Alex had completed the task.
“We succeeded,” he exhaled.

Chapter 25. Abandoned in the Dark Water
The crew’s faces lit up with enthusiasm and delight, inspiring Alex with their passion. It seemed that he had touched something unimaginably large, forgotten, ancient, and suddenly everything began to move. His people started to create, and the power of their collective creativity was comparable to a roaring avalanche. Alex’s cautious dreams became reality overnight. He and his people spent almost two days working with magic, having all but forgotten about sleep and food.
Everyone worked harmoniously and successfully. This is the real team. It’s a shame that Gres and AK-47 aren’t with us. Alex said aloud, “Stop! Line up!”
Like a single organism, the Ice Vigors stopped their work and obeyed.
“Excellent.” Alex walked along in thoughtfulness. “Here’s what we have.” He brought up the latest version of the skill for everyone to see. It looked cool, powerful, and massive.
