to meet mine she jumps up squealing. “Lil!! I missed you so much!” Practically tackling me in her embrace we fall to the floor. Not able to hold back my own enthusiasm, I laugh at her much missed personality. Peeling ourselves off the floor, Gianna looks around giving a low whistle. “Not a bad upgrade, this place is insane.”

“Right? I really can’t complain, you should see the view out to the city from up here.” Looking towards the balcony Gianna sees Daveon.

“Ya maybe later,” shaking her head at me.

“G, are you seriously still worked up over him?” You've met him once.”

“He just pisses me off okay, and no it's not once. I had a whole flipping flight with his arrogant ass. Not to mention he is going to be watching us while I’m here.” She grumbles. I roll my eyes at her, not entirely sure what she has against him. Deliberately changing the subject she starts. “I’m gonna be honest though, I’m surprised Hades up there even let me come. I thought I was going to have to sneak into the service.”

I push her arm at her over dramatics. “Shut up, you would not have.” Even though I could one hundred percent  see her doing that. I shake my head at the image.

“Okay, so what's on the agenda? I can’t believe I get to stay here for a week! You have no idea how much I needed this.” Something changes in her tone before she masks it, perking back up, though I didn’t miss it.

I’ll have to ask her what's going on.

“So what are we doing today?” Eagerness fills her eyes at the possibilities of today.

After getting Gianna settled in one of the guest rooms, we get ready to go out. Having her here gives me the motivation to go dress shopping that I have been procrastinating, not wanting to do it alone. With Daveon and both of my guards in tow, we head to some bridal shops.

Three hours later and still not any closer to finding the perfect dress. I’m beginning to lose hope as I feel we have tried on every dress this store has to offer. Standing in front of a panel of mirrors I glance at the current dress I have on. With lots of lace and a high neckline something doesn’t look right. Trying to be open minded even though I can clearly see it doesn’t flatter my body. Making eye contact through the mirror Gianna shakes her head, not thrilled over this one either. Sighing as I feel myself slump slightly.

Stepping off the pedestal and into the changing room I get dressed before heading back out to Gianna. “Let's do one more sweep before we go, maybe we overlooked something.”

Feeling defeated but agreeing anyway, we go back through the racks and rows of dresses. Still not seeing anything that jumps out at me I move on to the next row. “Oh Lil!” Turning to look back at Gianna I see a dress in her hands. “You have to try this one on.” Bringing it over to me she holds it up for me to see.

“I don’t know G, I don’t know how that will look?” Not feeling her enthusiasm by merely looking at it. She shoves it into my hands before giving me a slight push to the changing room.

“Just try it on.”

“Fine.” I grumble under my breath as I head back in once again to change. Coming out a couple minutes later I make my way out to see what I think. Stepping out into the mirrors, my mouth drops. This is not how I expected this to look on.

The dress is smooth with a silk like satin touch. A deep v runs down my chest, opening up to expose the skin between my breasts. My back is open and bare except for the thin pieces of fabric that wrap around my center twice, before leading up to my shoulders where it connects and gets wider. A knee high slit at the base of one leg keeps it elegant and simple. “You look amazing in that dress Lil.” Giannas voice is soft and wistful. Turning to face her as the smile I can’t contain breaks on my face. “I knew it would. I don’t know why you even bother to question me anymore.” A satisfied smirk on her face. “Nicoli is going to die when he sees you.” Thinking for a moment before she exclaims, “Oh we have to go shopping for lingerie!”

Blushing at her loud exclamation we purchase the dress and take a break for lunch. Taking her to the same pizza place Nico had brought me my first day out. At walking in and smelling the aromas, Gianna is practically salivating on the table. Once our pizza arrives we both dig in, starving after this morning's shopping trip.

Later that night we are both sitting on the bed in Gianna’s room. Catching up on everything going on at home since I have been gone. Apparently no one knows of my wedding yet. Though my father has fled, knowing once it is brought to light questions will arise with Dante, exposing his betrayal. As it stands now, everyone thinks he fled, taking me with him. They will all know soon enough. Sitting there I feel no sadness over my father's disappearance.

“So what about you, surely your father had picked a husband? I mean how long is he going to allow you to stay unmarried? You're already eighteen, even if he wanted to he can’t hold off for much longer.” She looks down avoiding my eyes as she plays with a loose string on the blanket.

“Ya, about that. I have been meaning to tell you. I just didn’t know how. I knew you had enough to worry about without adding me into the mix.”

“What? You can always talk to me, I don’t care what I have going on, I will always be there for you.” Finally looking up to me her eyes
