crotch and he yelped, “Yes, yes, Jesus Christ, don’t do that again.”

“Who else is involved in this little endeavor of yours?”

“Just Rudy and his guys. I don’t know where the girls go after that. We just collected them.” He said in a rush.

She stood and walked over to the woman and laid her knife on the woman’s open wound and the woman whimpered, and Imani could feel the trembling through the knife.

“Before you answer, think. This knife is about to peel more meat off you. Is what he said, true? Is he lying?” Imani asked, pushing the knife in just a little. She looked up at Haiden and he removed the sock.

“It’s true. We just got the girls and passed them on. We was gonna kill them.” The woman said in a rush.

Haiden shoved the sock back in. Imani looked at Haiden through the goggles. He was intimidating in the green hue, and she smiled, it was so unlike the man she knew. He smiled back at her.

“You have any questions for them?” She asked.

“No, do what you need to.” He said softly.

“You didn’t want to help?” She asked, surprised.

“No, this is yours, next one.” He smiled.

She nodded and went over to the man. She pulled her weapon and shot him in the eyes. His body jerked. The woman began to groan and the sound began to raise. Imani shot her once through the temple. She nodded satisfied. She and Haiden left the room behind.

Going into the kitchen, she looked around for the phone. She didn’t see one, then went into the living room. On a side table, there was a phone. She pulled her phone out and made her recording. Haiden was watching her and it made her self-conscious.

She picked up the phone and dialed 911.

“911, what is your emergency?”

“I’ve just shot and killed two pieces of trash. They were responsible for the seven women who were found at the Waukegan house last week. These two shit bags were the ones who snatched the girls. There are two women in a room, chained to a bed, laying in their filth. You might want to send two ambulances.” She clicked her phone off and laid the receiver down.

She and Haiden departed the house in silence, leaving the yard and house behind. They walked quickly to Imani’s car and left quickly.

“Will we linger?” He asked.

“No, I don’t want to be in the area when the police get here. Besides Nobu has the cams up. We can watch when we get back.” She said, and tilted her head from side to side to ease the tension. She let out a sigh.

“That was smooth Imani, very efficient. I like that you put fear in them, so you didn’t waste time questioning them. Still, the balls.” He laughed.

She looked over and grinned.

“I usually cut their balls off and shove them in their mouths, but I felt that might put you over the edge.” She sniggered.

“Yeah, my ass just clenched.” He laughed.

They heard the distant wail of the sirens and she sped the car up. She didn’t want to be in the vicinity of the house. She pulled out and drove the last leg of the trip home. It was near 3:30am and she was tired.

“Is that usually how it goes? You take care of the assholes and find the victims and then call?”

“Yeah, more or less. Sometimes, I try to get intel. It isn’t always the way, but sometimes I get lucky. I can then go along that line and knock off all the people connected.”

“Wow, I know I’m pushing, but I really would like to do this with you. Seeing those women, it really made me want to go gut that son of a bitch.” Haiden said.

“Yeah, I think we can do that. It would be nice to have you there, in case there are more than I can handle. Sometimes there are, so I just start shooting. But you just have to shove the emotions down. It just gets in the way of the job. After, that is why I cut their balls off. It’s my way of doing just what they needed. I’d do it while they were alive, but they kick and squirm a lot.” She laughed.

“Jeeze, I bet. I understand. I’ll keep my shit tight.” He assured her.

She pulled into the underground garage and pulled into her parking space. Both sat quietly in the car.

“Thanks again for taking me. It meant a lot.” He said and before she could answer, he got out of the car. She followed. They made their way to the service elevator and went up to her floor. Exiting, they went to the apartment, and walked in.

Nobu was in the operations room and he turned at their entrance.

“Police are there and they’re just bringing the girls out. Good job guys. Did you get any good intel?” Nobu asked.

“No, they snatched the girls and took them to Waukegan to drop off, they are the snatch and grab part of that equation. They won’t snatch any more girls.” She said tiredly, as Nobu pulled out the black trash bag. Imani began to strip, then stopped, looking at Nobu, who had a grin on his face. Then she realized that Haiden was in the room while she was stripping.

“You asshole.” She laughed at Nobu, and to Haiden, she said, “Turn around.”

Haiden looked at both of them and turned around.

She stripped and put the clothing into the bag and put her robe on.

“Okay Haiden, you can strip, Nobu will take our things and put in the incinerator in the basement.” She sat down in her chair and watched as the EMTs wrapped heavy blankets around the women. The women sat on the gurneys as the police spoke with them and the EMTs
