“I think they are at Jaws Junior’s,” says Jon over the radio.
“Are you sure?” asks Phil into his radio.
“You want me to go check?” asks Jon over the radio.
“Yeah, but play it cool. Don’t act like we are looking for them,” answers Phil over the radio.
“Okay, I’ll let you know if they are there,” replies Jon over the radio.
I impatiently wait for Jon to reply over the radio and I look at Brad.
I wonder why Brad was beaten up, covered with a sheet, and then given to us. I remember the last time I saw Brad and think about the look he gave me before he left with Faith. Was he trying to tell me something? Was he afraid to tell me something?
“What’s taking Jon so long?” asks Phil as he looks down at the radio that is in his left hand.
“They are definitely in there and they look to be leaving soon,” says Jon over the radio.
“Where are they going?” asks Phil over the radio.
“I don’t know, but they had their gear on and they just got into JJ’s car,” answers Jon.
“Thank you Jon,” says Phil into his radio.
Phil exits from Brody’s house and walks over to our front entrance guards. “You don’t let JJ’s car leave here,” says Phil to our entrance guards.
Phil stands in the grass near one of the front entrance lookout platforms and waits for Jaws Junior’s car to come around the corner and come towards him.
Brody, who is leaving Sam and Kiersten’s house, sees Jaws Junior’s car driving down the street and make the right hand turn towards our main entrance.
“Here they come, don’t open this gate no matter what,” says Phil to our entrance guards.
Jaws Junior’s car drives down the street and stops a couple feet away from our closed main entrance gate.
Phil walks over to the driver side window of Jaws Junior’s car and Jaws Junior, from the driver seat of his car, asks Phil, “Everything okay Phil?”
“Where you going?” asks Phil.
“Was going back to my old house to get my bike, I finished fixing her up and planned on bringing her back today,” answers Jaws Junior.
Phil sees Dalton in the front passenger seat of Jaws Junior’s car and Dean in the backseat of Jaws Junior’s car.
“Come on and open the gate!” shouts Dalton.
“Where were you two last night?” asks Phil to Dalton.
“What?” answers Dalton with a sarcastic tone.
“Phil, we’ll be right back. I’m just getting my bike and we are coming right back here,” says Jaws Junior to Phil.
“You aren’t going anywhere,” replies Phil.
“Come on, just open the fucking gate already!” shouts Dean from the backseat of Jaws Junior’s car.
“Turn your engine off,” says Phil to Jaws Junior.
Brody and Drew come over to Jaws Junior’s car.
“Are you serious Phil?” asks Jaws Junior.
“What’s up boy scout?” asks Dean to Brody as he looks at Brody through the rear driver side car window that is rolled down.
Jaws Junior sees that the guards have their guns aimed at his car and Jaws Junior is shocked to see the guns aimed at him.
“What’s the big deal?” asks Jaws Junior.
Phil sees the annoyed expression on Dalton and Dean’s faces and shouts, “Were you two on entrance watch duty last night?”
“Yeah, so?” answers Dean with an annoyed tone.
“So, a friend of ours was found beaten and placed across the street in a truck this morning,” answers Phil with an angry tone.
“Turn your car off!” shouts Phil to Jaws Junior.
Jaws Junior turns his car off.
Dean and Dalton look at Phil but don’t say anything.
“I want answers and I want them now!” shouts Phil.
Dalton and Dean don’t answer Phil and that makes Phil angrier.
“Get out of the car,” says Phil to Dean.
“No, your fucking crazy,” replies Dean.
Phil grabs the exterior car door handle and pulls open the car door.
“What are you doing?” shouts Dalton.
Phil grabs Dean and pulls him out of Jaws Junior’s car.
“You’re hurting my arm!” shouts Dean.
Dalton gets out of Jaws Junior’s car and Brody points his gun at Dalton.
“You gonna shoot me boy scout?” asks Dalton to Brody with some attitude.
“Either you didn’t do your job last night, or you are in on what happened to Brad,” says Phil to Dean as Phil holds Dean’s right arm behind his back.
“You’re going to break his arm!” shouts Dalton.
“Come on Phil don’t hurt him,” says Jaws Junior to Phil as Jaws Junior exits from his car.
I exit Brody’s house and shout, “Brad just woke up!”
Phil releases Dean’s arm.
Dean brings his right arm from behind his back to his side and Dean rubs his right shoulder.
I run back into Brody’s house and see that Brad is awake and sitting up on Brody’s sofa.
“You okay?” I ask Brad.
“My head and nose are killing me,” answers Brad.
“Where am I?” asks Brad.
“Citrus Oaks, what’s the last thing you remember?” I ask Brad.
Phil and Brody enter Brody’s house and come over to Brad and me.
Brad thinks about what he remembers and tells us, “I was walking down a sidewalk and I was going home… A person called me over, and I looked to my right and then I was punched in the face by someone to my left.”
“Where were you?” asks Phil.
“Back home in Channelside,” answers Brad.
“Who punched you?” asks Brody.
Brad thinks about what happened to him and he tries to remember who punched him.
“I was knocked down and dragged behind a building. I heard them say that the boss wants this done tonight,” answers Brad.
“Did you get a good look at the guys?” I ask Brad.
“No, but they were pretty big
