I ask Cyrus, “Do you miss it?”

I walk with Cyrus and Phil down a small hallway and Cyrus answers, “I wasn’t going to play this year anyway, but yeah I miss the guys and the competition.”

Cyrus knocks on a closed condo front door and someone shouts from inside the condo to come in.

Cyrus opens the closed condo front door and Phil and I enter the condo.

Phil and I see Bakari as we enter the large open living room of the condo.

“Hey doc and Phil, good to see you. What brings you to building five?” asks Bakari.

“We came to have Saba check out a walkie of mine,” I answer Bakari.

“Everything okay?” asks Bakari.

I look at Phil and then answer Bakari, “Yeah, we got it under control now.”

“Good, would you like something to drink or anything?” asks Bakari to me and Phil.

“Just a water would be good,” I answer Bakari.

Phil answers, “I’ll take a water as well.”

Bakari walks into his kitchen and Cyrus asks, “You need anything from me boss?”

“No thanks C go get some rest, you did great on our trip today,” answers Bakari.

“Thanks boss,” replies Cyrus and then Cyrus exits Bakari’s condo.

Bakari walks back into his living room and hands Phil and I each an expensive bottle of water.

I look at the bottle of water and think about how crazy it is to be drinking a ten dollar bottle of water.

“So where was your trip?” asks Phil to Bakari.

“We checked out a couple spots in North Tampa and met with a couple contacts,” answers Bakari.

“What’s going on with the prison?” I ask Bakari.

Bakari smiles and answers me, “Always so direct, I like that about you doc.”

I look at Bakari and wait for him to answer my question.

“I have a couple contacts inside the prison, and they told me that the prison is being run by an inmate now,” answers Bakari.

“Dennison?” I ask.

“Very good, how did you know that?” asks Bakari.

I put my expensive bottle of water down on a coaster on Bakari’s oversized glass coffee table and answer, “We had a run in with a couple prisoners and they said that Dennison is running things at the prison and that they weren’t going back.”

“Who are your contacts at the prison?” asks Phil to Bakari.

“My contacts are friends of mine and brothers of a couple people of our group,” answers Bakari.

“Did they get out of prison?” I ask Bakari.

“Yeah, some did, but a couple are still inside, and they aren’t able to leave,” answers Bakari.

“Why not?” I ask.

“Dennison and his crew won’t let them leave, they are only allowing certain people to leave,” answers Bakari.

“How many people does Dennison have?” asks Phil.

Aisha walks out of the bedroom and Phil and I see Aisha.

I say hello to Aisha and Aisha stops walking and says hello.

“I’m sorry if I interrupted. I’m just craving some pickles, well I guess the baby is,” says Aisha.

“You weren’t interrupting,” I say to Aisha.

Aisha smiles and Bakari asks Aisha, “You feeling okay?”

“Yeah, the meds helped. Thanks babe,” answers Aisha.

Aisha walks into the kitchen and Bakari says to Phil and me, “She was having some bad heartburn and nausea.”

“What did you give her?” I ask Bakari.

“I don’t know, we got a bunch of meds on our trip and she took whatever she wanted to take,” answers Bakari.

“Are you going to go into the prison?” asks Phil to Bakari.

Bakari looks at Phil with a questioning expression and Phil wonders if it was a dumb question.

A couple seconds go by and Bakari smiles and jokes, “A black man trying to break into prison, man the times have changed.”

I don’t know whether to laugh or not, but I see Bakari’s big smile and I know he’s joking.

“We are coming up with a plan to get our people out of the prison, but it looks to be tough as Dennison has it locked down pretty tight,” says Bakari.

“How’s your brother?” I ask Bakari.

“He’s good, he’s really good actually,” answers Bakari.

A bird lands on Bakari’s outdoor balcony and I hear the bird squawk as I’m sitting with Phil and Bakari in Bakari’s living room.

The bird keeps squawking and Bakari gets up from his sofa and goes out onto his balcony.

I look at the bird and I see a small camera on the back of the bird.

Bakari gets the bird to fly away and he comes back inside.

“Did that bird have a camera on his back?” I ask Bakari.

“Yeah, it’s one of Mr. Charlie’s new camera setups,” answers Bakari.

“Where is this Mr. Charlie?” asks Phil.

Bakari sits down on his sofa and answers, “He’s on his island.”

“His island?” asks Phil.

Aisha walks back towards the living room and she goes back into the bedroom.

“It’s a small island in the Gulf,” answers Bakari.

“Aren’t you worried he’ll be attacked there?” I ask.

Bakari smiles and answers, “The people that go there should be worried. He has traps, mines, and other security measures.”

Hearing about Mr. Charlie’s island makes me think about the island that people may have been taken to.

“Do you know anything about an island? Like an island that people were taken to?” I ask Bakari.

Bakari nods his head and answers, “I’ve heard the rumblings about an island, well several islands actually.”

“Where are they?” asks Phil.

“I don’t know specifics as I haven’t been there, but I heard there are a group of islands off the coast of Florida and they are being controlled by an unknown group,” answers Bakari.

“In the Caribbean? Like the Bahamas, or where?” I ask Bakari.

“I wish I knew, but unfortunately I don’t know,” answers Bakari.

“Do you know about a group that was taking women around Tampa Bay?”
